OTUQUIS National Park and Natural Area Integrated Management

OTUQUIS National Park and Natural Area Integrated Management 

Was created on July 31, 1997. It is located in the Department of Santa Cruz, in the provinces 

Germán Bush and Cordillera. The Bolivian Pantanal shares biogeographic provinces Cerrado, 

Pantanal and the Chaco Boreal. The municipality involved Puerto Suarez. 

The area adjoins the south with the Republic of Paraguay and east with the Republic of Brazil.

 You enter by road from Puerto Suarez road. You come to this city by air or rail.

Visit the Bolivian Pantanal is an unforgettable experience for the quality of the landscape and

 the quantity and diversity of wildlife that can be seen.

The activities that you can performed in this park are:

-        The Pantanal

-        Bañados of Otuquis: It is a very particular ecosystem made ​​up of a mosaic of floodplain

 where it is possible to observe a variety of birds and mammals such as marsh deer.

-        The sites with the greatest potential of ecotourism are in Puerto Suarez and are the Laguna 

Caceres, El Mirador, the Tacuaral, the Salao, Motacusillo Caves and Canal Tamengo

 the Paraguay River.

-        The main rivers of the northeast region are Tacavara and San Miguel that bind and diffuse to 

form the Marshes of Otuquis, very close are the Paraguay and Black rivers.
