Tunari National
Park
Was created on March 30, 1962. It is located in the west of the Department of Cochabamba
you can enter to this area from Cochabamba on the road connect La Paz with Santa Cruz.
The main activity in the park is to conduct tours through the woods where you can see the
endemic bird Poospiza garlepii, which lives almost exclusively in the area, the groves are
composed of Polylepsis besseri subtusalbida, which is a subspecies of exclusive kewiña of
the Cordillera del Tunari.
